Description
The Tyrannosaurus Rex had powerful back legs that let it hunt prey at up to 20mph. They would charge out of the undergrowth to surprise their prey. Tyrannosaurus means tyrant lizard, it was a large theropod that lived about 65 to 70 million years ago during the Cretaceous Period and inhabited the present day Western North America on the then continental island of Laramidia. The Tyrannosaurus had two clawed fingers and additional small metacarpal on their forelimbs.
