Description
Horses have long necks, long legs and singular solid hooves on the ends of their feet. Through years of breeding, they have many different colours and patterns in their fur. Some of the most common colours are grey, dark reddish-brown (known as bay) and light brown (known as chestnut). Miniature Horses are the smallest breeds and measure under 3 feet tall at the shoulder and weigh around 200 lbs. Shires are the largest breed they stand nearly 6 feet tall and can weight up to 2,400 lbs or more. As herbivores they feed exclusively on plant matter and the vast majority of their diet consists of grasses. When there is little grass, their owners feed them pelleted feed and a variety of hay. They are found worldwide.
