Description
Dogs descended from an ancient extinct wolf, the modern grey wolf is a dog’s nearest living relative. Dogs were the first species to be domesticated. Dogs live and work with us in many roles, companion dogs, dogs who are bred to herd livestock, collies and sheepdogs and hunting dogs such as hounds and pinters. There are also search and rescue dogs and guard dogs. Many dogs have been interbred to have qualities of different breeds. Our dog is a Gos d’Atura, a type of Spanish sheepdog. Dogs are found worldwide.
